Status Management with Warning in case of License Error

ACT_LICENSE_WARNING

// from Allevo version 3.3

Feature I: No warning in case of many activated objects

Usually, new planning objects are added with status 1: these objects are therefore not directly relevant for the license check (only from status 3). The number of new objects, however, shows if the license limit is exceeded with the ongoing planning. Allevo therefore checks objects with status 1 upon saving as well and possibly displays a warning or generates an entry in the error log. This way, employees of the Controlling are informed that the license is probably going to be exceeded (once status switches to 3; warning is displayed maximum once a day).

In single cases, this proactive Allevo function may be disturbing: entry N in column Value from prevents this warning messages.

EXAMPLE: Usually, only objects that are to be planned are entered in the Allevo status management. In this case, the warning is useful. However, it may also be useful to enter all possible objects in the status management and let planners decide which ones to process (only this leads to the update to the license-relevant status 3). Then, the warning is not useful during initial entry.

Feature II: Warning before the limit of license-relevant objects is reached

When saving new objects in the status management, Allevo checks the number of previous entries with status 3 and displays a warning if the license has been exceeded.

If the warning shall be displayed already BEFORE exceeding the license (not only if more than 100 % of the license was used), enter the desired percentage value in column Value to.
