Default Path For File Download |

FILE_DOWNLOAD
* Allevo version 3.0 and later
With the button |Documentation| it is possible to store customer specific documentation in Allevo planning transactions. If necessary, it can be stored depending on the object type or a particular layout. When using Allevo, file management can be used to open relevant files over a network. Alternatively, the BDS is also available.
The constant FILE_DOCU defines the symbolic path and file names, under which relevant files in the network are to be found. An X in column Value from activates the constant. The relevant path is to be entered in column Value to (can be regulated via the button |File.Assistant| in the settings dialogue of the constant). See below the example of a valid path name:
Z:\Public\Test\Docu_<LANGUAGE>.DOC
In this example the documentation has a language specific functionality, i.e. the corresponding data has to exist for any used language.
If the path to user documentation is the same for all users, the symbolic name ALLEVO_DOCU can alternatively be applied via the button |File.Assistant|. In this case a separate entry in the constant is not required.

Note: |
If the constant FILE_DOCU is activated, a valid symbolic file name is to be entered in column Value to. No naming convention for the automatic file search is stored (as it normally is when accessing the BDS e.g.) If a valid file name cannot be determined through ALLEVO_DOCU, Allevo searches a relevant document in the BDS. A special solution exists for such access: it allows to store documents individually (e.g. depending on the layout) or generally (see also the Allevo SAP manual). |
