Directories and Files in Offline Planning |

FILE_OFFLINE
* Allevo version 3.0 and later
To start the program in the offline module, the path- and file names which will be used for storing the Excel files during up- and downloading must be defined. Those are to be regulated in the Allevo file management (button |File.Assistant| in the settings dialogue of the constant). The relevant control constants are:
▪ Default symb. name: ALLEVO_OFFLINE
▪ Constant: FILE_OFFLINE
The constant has to be activated, and a valid symbolic file name has to be assigned in the planning layout that should be used for the execution of the offline functions.
To activate the constant FILE_OFFLINE, enter X in column Value from. The respective symbolic name is to be specified in column Value to (can be regulated via the button |File.Assistant|).
If the constant is not active, offline transactions run a check on whether the generally valid symbolic name ALLEVO_OFFLINE is typed in in |File.Assistant|.
The following three directory paths have to be defined for the symbolic name (in |File.Assistant| the path type refers to the corresponding characteristic):
1. In the download directory all the Excel files necessary for planning are stored. They include all the reference files required for the planning.
2. In the upload directory all the files that are to be imported into the SAP system after completing the offline planning have to be stored.
3. In the copy directory all the files that were successfully transferred into SAP are stored via the import transaction (the files are moved here from the upload-directory).
When defining the file names, use placeholders in order to ensure each file has a unique title (e. g. by using an object number).
For more information see the corresponding chapter in the manual.

Note: |
In earlier versions of Allevo the backup path was to be defined by the SAP transaction FILE. Entries from there remain in use if no file name can be determined via the constants or default value described here. For more details see the earlier versions of the Allevo manual. |
