Allevo Master in Network

FILE_TEMPLATE

* Allevo version 3.0 and later

With this constant it is possible to control under which name the Allevo Master is stored in the network (in case there is no access through the BDS, see additionally BDS_ENABLED). The following constants are relevant:

       Default symb. name:        ALLEVO_TEMPLATE

       Constant:                         FILE_TEMPLATE

The constant FILE_TEMPLATE defines a symbolic name for the Allevo Master file. Enter X in column Value from to activate the constant. A respective symbolic name is to be entered in column Value to (can be regulated via the button |Data.Assistant|).

If a single Allevo Master is used for all the planning tasks, a symbolic file name ALLEVO_TEMPLATE can alternatively be defined via the button |File.Assistant|. In this case a separate entry in the constant is not required.

Note:

If the constant FILE_TEMPLATE is activated but no name is entered in column Value to, Allevo uses the general naming conventions for the search. The following schema is applied:

ZIPP_(OBART)_(KOKRS)_(LAYOUT)

In earlier versions of Allevo the file path was to be defined by the SAP Customizing transaction FILE. Entries from there remain in use if no file name can be determined via the constants or default value described here. For more details see the earlier versions of the Allevo manual.

When saving the Allevo Master via the file management, Excel template format should be used, i.e. *.XLTM. This ensures that when launching the Allevo planning one temporary copy is always created on the user´s desktop.

If it is preferred to work with XLSM, the file should be write-protected. The same recommendation applies to working with ABC.
