Activate activity type-dependent planning based on a rule type

Enter X in column Value from of the constant LSTAR_VARIATOR to activate the activity type dependent planning via a rule type. This rule type comprises a three-stage procedure.

The rules themselves are defined in “Rules for activity type dependent planning” of the Allevo settings. The Excel file stored there contains three tables corresponding to the three levels of the rule type: 

· Component 1 (table “Activity Type“): Defines the activity types to be planned dependent on a cost center.

· Component 2 (table “Share“): Defines the distribution ratio of costs and statistical key figures to the previously defined activity types.

· Component 3 (table “FixVar“): Defines at which proportion costs are divided into fix and variable shares.

If this option is activated, a possible formula-based distribution of costs and statistical key figures in the Allevo Master becomes ineffective. These settings will be ignored after activation. Instead, the globally planned values for costs and quantities for statistical key figures are distributed to the activity types of the cost center based on the rules defined in SAP.

Note:

The activation will be valid for all planning years as well as for period planning.

Planner's access to the rule type

It is possible to give the planner access to the rule type while working in the Allevo Excel file. The access can be defined as read or write access or in relation with the three components (see above).

For this purpose, a three-digit code, composed of the numbers 0, 1 or 2 must be entered in column Value from.

§ Figure 1 = read authorization

§ Figure 2 = write authorization

The first digit stands for component 1, the second for component 2, and the third for component 3.

If, for example, the code 112 is entered in column Value from, this means that the planner is authorized to view the components 1 and 2 and even modify component 3. During the planning process, the planner is now able to modify or specify the distribution rules “fixed/variable” for his cost center as a function of the cost element and activity type.

Note:

The planner views only those rules which have previously been created for the selected planning layout. It is possible that the rules are maintained as default values under a * layout or a * cost center. These rules are not visible. Any entry made by the planner is saved as a function of the relevant planning layout and his cost center. He might therefore possibly replace the default rules defined by *.
