Save Additional Data without Layout

NO_LAYOUT_FOR_FIELDS

In earlier versions of Allevo, satellite tables were sometimes used to save any additional data on the object (e.g. for auxiliary calculations). To do so, it was of course also necessary to establish the appropriate structure in the satellite.

From Allevo version 3.1, it is possible to alternatively define any range in Excel for this purpose (as a structured Excel table), with its content being automatically saved in SAP when transferring planning data. During the next reading, data will of course be transferred to Excel again.

By default, data on the layout and on the object are stored. Optionally, data may be written and read without reference to the layout: this requires an entry of an X in column Value from of the constant NO_LAYOUT_FOR_FIELDS.

Note:

Data are saved in the Allevo table /KERN/IPPFIELDS. The Excel table must be named “ZZObjectFields” (in the IPP sheet); no further customizing is required for this function on the side of SAP.
