Rule Planning on the Basis of Reference Data

READ_ADP

* Available from Allevo version 3.2

Within activity-dependent planning, Allevo supports two methods of allocating costs to activity types: the direct method with the allocation in the Allevo Master and the “rule planning” in which the costing rules are defined. Usually, these rules are stored in the Allevo settings (see explanations in the Allevo SAP manual).

Instead of administering the rules explicitly in the Allevo settings, data available in SAP summary record tables may also be used as reference and the necessary rules may be deduced from it. Such reference data could be e.g. old data from previous postings, or also data on a plan version that is managed for this purpose specifically (also applies to distribution key of years to periods).

The constant READ_ADP controls this function. An entry in column Value from regulates the priority of dealing with the reference data:

·         1 (=primary): in this case, available rules from Allevo settings are replaced. The rules thus only apply if no SAP data are available.

·         2 (= secondary): in this case, reversely the rules from the Allevo settings have the priority; the data are read from SAP tables only if no rule is specified in Allevo for a relevant cost center.

:

As long as no entry is made in column Value to, the year and version characteristics are copied from the corresponding posting line. Alternatively, the characteristics can be predefined in column Value to as follows:

·         Year and version are entered directly (separated by comma), e.g. “2013,5“ to use year 2013 and version 5 for reading.

·         -1 can be also entered instead of the year date: then, Allevo automatically reads the previous year with regard to the current planning year. In addition, you may optionally predefine the version (example: “-1.3“ would be read over the previous year with version 3).

Note:

The following tables are used by Allevo for reading reference data:

Primary costs from COSP; distribution key (years in periods) from COKP

Secondary costs from COSS, distribution key from COKS (only of the original object)

Stat. Key figures from COSR; distribution key from COKS.
