Year and Version when Reading Plan Comments

Several options of the Allevo column definitions control the reading of plan columns, since these comments are usually entered with a column definition different than in subsequent evaluation. Year and version may be predefined, as well as reference to a different column definition and possibly also a dependence on the status (see entries in section “Comments“ in the master record of the column definition“.

If reference to the column definition is created in the section „Comments“ of the column definition, comments are usually read with the available specifications on year and version. In exceptional cases, a different logic may be desired, which is controlled by this constant.  

Application Case:

In the start screen of Allevo Reporting, the year is being changed dynamically, usually via entry on the column definition CX_RR.  Other column definitions adopt this year with relative reference; then also comments shall be read for this.

Activate the constant READ_COMMENT_SEQ by entering X in column Value from. Then, year and version will be identified for reading comments in the following sequence (the example here on the year used for reading):

- The field “Year” in the section comment of the column definition has highest priority (possibly also depending on the status).

- If nothing is found here and the constant is active, Allevo will use the year from the current column definition (possibly with relative reference as well).

- Only in the last step, the year of the column definition used for entering the comment will be used.
