Time of Reading Satellites

READ_ORDER_SAT

For the satellites, you may define at which moment of the reading process data shall be read from the SAP system. Two options are available: before reading cost elements (statistical key figures, activity types) or after reading cost elements.

By default, satellites are read at the end of the reading process, i.e. after reading cost elements. In certain cases, however, it may be useful to edit satellites (or individual satellites) before reading cost elements, e.g. if the satellite contents provide controlling options for reading cost elements.

Constant READ_ORDER_SAT may be activated to set that a satellite is to be read before reading cost elements. For activation, enter a 99-digit combination of numbers 0 and 1 in column Value from. Digits 1 to 99 specify the table that will be activated. 0 means inactive, 1 means active.

Thus, the combination 00011000... means that the additional tables /KERN/IPPSAT04 and /KERN/IPPSAT05 are to be read before the cost elements. All other satellites are read at the end of the reading process.

The constant can be easily modified via the Assistant (see button [Assistant] in constant maintenance, flag in column “ROS”).

Note:

The constant FOPEN_READSAT activates the reading of satellites when the file is opened, i.e. independent of reading reference data. Constant ACTIVE_SAT_SORT may be used to additionally adjust the processing sequence within an amount of time (in the standard case, it is ascending according to the number of satellites).
