Column Definitions with Central Object List

USE_COLDEF_GROUP

* from Allevo version 3.2

Normally, Allevo generates a list of relevant objects for each column definition (e.g. all elements of a 1:n group settlement). This is especially useful for cost centers when monitoring the validity (time dependent).

In case of multiple column definitions and big 1:n object groups, the formation of such lists can take noticeably much time (i.e. a slower start of the Allevo planning can be expected); especially as in each case the master record is checked for validity.

The constant USE_COLDEF_GROUP serves to generate a common object list across the entire time range of the column definitions: formation of the list is then required only once with a corresponding performance gain (though the list itself is then longer than needed in case of individual column definitions). Unnecessary objects (e.g. KL objects or cost centers with validity outside of the time range of a column definition) are ignored during the reading of the reference data at the latest.

Activate this constant via X in column Value from.

Additionally, it may be useful to waive the check of the master record since it is only beneficial if a considerable amount of objects is invalid (e.g. many cost centers with a completion date within a group).

To switch off the master record check an X must be entered in column Value to.

To switch off the master record check, an X must be entered in column Value to.

Note:

Whether or not the constant causes performance improvement, depends on the respective Allevo implementation, e.g. the number and time range of column definitions, the size of the group, the amount of KL objects. This has to be examined for each individual case.
