Milestones of Kern AG
In summer 1996, Eckhard Moos became a freelance SAP consultant. While working here, he trained consultants for various SAP projects within Germany and abroad, which made up his team. From 1997, the first developers expanded the range of products and services.
Ekkehard Seiler joined Kern AG in summer 2000 following a position as Head of Controlling of an international company. As a director, he initiated the development of our large and globally successful solution Kern OPO - what is now Allevo.
Kern OPO allowed us to make a breakthrough in the controlling landscape in 2002. The endeavor to develop planning software that merges SAP and Excel was awarded with first place prize for the ‘planning innovation of the year’ by the International Controller Association in 2003. Since then, Kern OPO and, as of 2009, its successor Allevo, have caused a stir on the SAP scene and, from Germany and its European neighbors to Asia and elsewhere overseas, have successively been tapping into the international market for SAP-oriented business solutions in the areas of planning, actual postings, customizing and reporting with SAP ERP.
In 2004, we changed our name from anTloop Technologie AG to Kern AG. In line with the motto “Komplexe Ereignisse Reduziert Nachbilden” (Complex Events Reduce Replication), based on our company name “Kern”, we are somewhat publically defining our company’s goal as being offering our customers elegant, simple, efficient and effective solutions.
Since 2010, the headquarters of the company have been located in modern, environmentally friendly offices in Wentzinger Hof, directly next to Freiburg central station and with beautiful views of Freiburg city center and of the Black Forest.
Christian Bieber rounded off the Executive Board in 2013. He has worked as an SAP consultant since 1999 and, prior to taking up his position at Kern AG in 2008, he was controller and deputy manager of the SAP competence center of a large public-sector institution.
We founded Kern Americas Corp in November 2013. From our base in Atlanta, Georgia, we attract and advise customers in the United States and neighboring countries. In the aerospace, agriculture and energy industries and the public sector, we were therefore able to acquire our first clients for our Allevo, Cycles and SparkShapes products outside of the German-speaking region.
Now, over 35 employees develop, provide consultation and market, in a friendly though serious way, our tailored solutions for your business processes.
