Our finance and operations team ensures that all financial processes run smoothly, that we stay on course, and that nothing gets lost in the vastness of the universe. From accounting to organizational tasks, they maintain balance and make sure everything is properly documented and completed on time.

We ensure clear processes, clean documentation, and efficient administration.
At the same time, we keep a close eye on costs, budgets, and deadlines, taking care of smooth back-office operations.

The Shooting Star Hunters

Our consultants are intergalactic wish-fulfillers: They track down customer needs like shooting stars in the night sky. Working closely with our clients, they bring order to the data universe, optimize processes, and ensure that planning and controlling run smoothly.

We work closely with our clients — mostly remotely via online sessions, but sometimes in person on-site as well.
In doing so, we gather requirements, implement them directly, or coordinate new ideas with our development team.

The Rocket Pioneers

Every day, our development team embarks on new missions to improve software solutions, integrate new features, and solve customer challenges. In doing so, they’re not only working on today’s tasks but also on the innovations of tomorrow.

The Satellite Navigators

They keep our systems running, shield us from cosmic disruptions, and serve as a reliable control center for the entire team. Our IT department is the backbone of the digital space, ensuring everything can move safely and stably — and acting as the go-to contact whenever the internet "breaks".

We manage and further develop the internal IT landscape and are the first point of contact for technical questions.
We think ahead, automate processes, and implement tools that help our teams work more efficiently.

The Co(s)mic Ones

Our marketing team sprinkles stardust across our core worlds and makes sure everything shines — professional, polished, and always with a plan. Of course... did anyone expect anything else? Every now and then, they even team up with the Aliens.

Working closely with all departments, we create a consistent brand presence.
Marketing, videos, design, events, copy... We handle almost everything in-house.

The Aliens

With extraterrestrial instincts, they’re always on the lookout for new galaxies — uh, customers. Equipped with a keen radar for potential, silver tongues, and a charming hyperdrive in their toolkit, they discover opportunities before anyone else even has them on their radar. Onward to an interplanetary mission!

Milestones in our company's history

2025

With our new solution Kyra for optimizing and building SAP business processes, we’ve once again been nominated for the Controlling Award and ranked among the top 3.

2022

Allevo turns 20 years old. Today, our product offers a generic solution that allows nearly any application area in SAP to be mapped flexibly and efficiently.

2021

Kern AG continues to grow and moves into the Milestone 5b building in Heinrich-von-Stephan-Straße 15 as its new location in Freiburg. In total, more than 50 employees now develop, advise and market our customised controlling solutions.

2016

The company looks back on its 20-year history in celebration.

2013

In November, Kern Americas Corp. is founded in Charlotte, North Carolina. Based there, we acquire and advise customers in the United States and nearby foreign countries.

2010

Since 2010, the company headquarters have been situated in modern, eco-friendly office spaces at Wentzinger Hof — close to Freiburg Central Station and offering the most beautiful view of the Freiburg city center and the Black Forest.

2004

In 2004, we changed from anTloop Technologie AG and began trading under the name Kern AG. The name is an acronym for “Komplexe Ereignisse Reduziert Nachbilden” [reproducing complex events in a reduced way], clearly demonstrating our corporate goals of offering our clients elegant, easy, efficient and effective solutions.

2002

In 2002, Kern OPO marked a breakthrough in the field of controlling. Our planning software earned the prestigious 1st place for 'Planning Innovation of the Year' by the International Controller Association. Since then, Kern OPO, and subsequently its successor Allevo, have made significant strides in the SAP scene and successfully expanded into the international market, with Germany being the starting point.

1999

anTloop Technologie AG is founded in a small office in Freiburg's Wiehre district.

1996

Eckhard Moos sets up his own business as an SAP consultant. In the course of his work, he trains consultants for various domestic and international SAP projects, which he forms into his team.
