Reporting with SAP and Excel

Create professional and clear reports in no time with Allevo and Sparks

What are the challenges of reporting with SAP?

In addition to creating and storing financial data in SAP, you often need reporting to analyze the data accurately. Normally, SAP's own standard reports are used for this purpose.  The challenge here, however, is that these are very rigid and inflexible. A possible alternative is to have individual, user-defined reports created for SAP, but this involves high costs and a great deal of effort.

Our SAP Excel integration Allevo and the Excel add-in Sparks can help. Benefit from Excel-integrated reporting in SAP and receive everything from a single source throughout the entire process, from reading the data from SAP, to compiling it, to displaying it visually in Microsoft Excel.

Simplify your reporting with Excel in SAP

Allevo - Load data from SAP to Excel at the push of a button

Thanks to Allevo's reporting module, it is possible to read out different object types and actual data at the push of a button, display them in the Excel user interface, the Allevo Master, and analyze them in the final step. The source for reading out the data in SAP is completely flexible - whether from the CO module with cost centers, orders, projects, via the FI module in connection with accounting and tables from the general ledger/general ledger, through to pre-imported information - Allevo can read out data of the most varied types from SAP in Excel, collate it and summarize it in a report.

If required, you can specify a point in time when you would like to have reports. The report is then generated at the desired time either by logging into SAP or automatically and stored in a desired location in the form of an Excel file.

In addition to regular reporting, thanks to the direct integration of the Allevo Excel interface in SAP, you can also open the line items as usual at any time, call up documents or add other information from the SAP system, thus completing your knowledge.

Sparks - Present reports and reportings well understandable in Excel

After you have gathered all the data in the Excel user interface, it can now be graphically prepared in an easy-to-understand and professional way with our Excel add-in Sparks. With Sparks, clear charts and dashboards can be created in less than a minute. At the same time, it generates easy-to-understand graphics in Excel that are consistent according to the IBCS standard. Of course, the Excel add-in can also be perfectly combined with Allevo. This allows you to integrate Sparks in advance into the still empty Allevo Excel interface and create the desired charts and dashboards. As soon as you start reporting in SAP and read out data, Sparks fills the previously created charts based on the data collected in the Excel frontend. Like Allevo, the charts and dashboards are dynamic at all times, i.e. if data changes, the chart also changes automatically. Of course, additional elements can be added at any time.
